Sedum & Sage is a flower farm + floral design studio rooted in the rolling hills of southern Iowa. We grow naturally, source thoughtfully, and create flowers that are full of color, texture, movement, and a little bit of the unexpected.
The land we call home has been part of Sage’s family for generations, passed down from her grandfather—and while our version of farming looks a little different these days, those roots still run deep. Where corn and cattle once took center stage, you’ll now find rows of flowers growing alongside the family herd.
What started as a tiny flower farm has grown into something bigger: a place where farming and floral design meet, where creativity gets to run a little wild, and where flowers are meant to feel just as unique as the people and moments they’re created for.
Our Story
Sedum & Sage Grow Co. was established in 2024, but the roots were planted long before that. I’ve loved flowers for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my grandma and mom took me to the greenhouse every spring, where I’d carefully pick out flowers to plant and tend all summer long. That love of growing things has been in me ever since.
Fast forward to early 2024, when my husband, Cody, surprised me with a greenhouse for Christmas. What started as a way to grow a few vegetables quickly turned into trays of flower seeds, a yard full of blooms, and one slightly impulsive decision to put up a farm stand and start selling bouquets. On July 20, 2024, Sedum & Sage officially opened for the first time. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing—but I knew I had found something I loved.
Somewhere between growing the flowers and putting them into bouquets, I fell just as hard for the design side of it all. I started finding my style, trusting my creativity, and realizing that Sedum & Sage could become more than the little flower farm I originally imagined.
Today, we’re still growing flowers on that same piece of family land—but the dream has grown right alongside them. Sedum & Sage has become a flower farm + floral design studio built around growing what we can, thoughtfully sourcing what we can’t, and creating flowers that feel joyful, unexpected, and unmistakably ours.

Meet Sage
Hi, I’m Sage—the “Sage” behind Sedum & Sage. I’m the grower, floral designer, creative brain, and general wearer of all the hats around here. My husband, Cody, is part of this journey too, usually behind the scenes helping keep things running and bringing me back to earth when one of my ideas gets a little bigger than expected.
I started Sedum & Sage because I wanted more room in my life for the things that make me feel most like myself—flowers, creativity, being outside, and making something beautiful with my own two hands. Turns out, watching someone’s face light up when you hand them flowers is pretty hard to beat.

Doing yoga, drinking hot tea, thrift shopping, rearranging something in our house, hiking, or spending time outside with Cody and our two very spoiled dogs, Rizzo + Rip.
I’m also a very proud Aunt Sagey, a lover of all things natural and a little “woo-woo,” and someone whose faith is at the center of who I am and why I do what I do.
